I've never done a show before, what suggestions can you give me?

This year we're having 2 vendor training sessions, put on by Exhib-it! These will help you understand how to approach people, how to set up your booth, how to qualify your leads as well as how to follow up - plus tradeshow experts you can get to answer all of your questions. The first one - on Tuesday, Jan. 10 - will be at Exhib-it!, 6207 Pan American Freeway NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109. Call them at 828-0574. This will be a 2-hour presentation. The second meeting will be on Wednesday, Jan. 11 at Hard Rock, following the vendor information meeting. It will be a shortened presentation, lasting 45 minutes to 1 hour. Don't worry, we'll get all of your questions answered. We want you to be ready for the show!

 

What time can I load in?

Load-in starts at 7 a.m. Sunday Jan. 22, 2012. We'll give you a loading dock to come through at Hard Rock so that we have less traffic jams at the doors. Click here for a schematic of the loading docks. It'll also make it closer to your booth.

 

Can I come in on Saturday night?

We can make some special arrangements - possibly... but no promises. But check with Stacy. Also, we're not responsible for any valuables you leave overnight. The ballroom will be locked but sometimes things happen, so save the valuables for Sunday.

 

Where can we get something to eat?

We'll be arranging packaged lunches that we'll have Hard Rock deliver to you at your booth. If you'd like to pre-order, I'll be sending out more information when we get closer to the time.

 

Does being an Expo vendor mean I'm in the Wedding Guide?

The Wedding Guide is the only publication allowed to be distributed on the Expo floor. We insert the program for the Expo into the middle of the Wedding Guide. Each vendor gets a formatted ad in the program section. Please see the Formatted Ads page to see what the ads look like. Please turn in your logo, business name, address, phone, email, website and any special offers by Dec. 15.

 

Does being an Expo vendor mean my business is listed on the website?

We have Expo vendors and links to your sites and/or emails listed in 3 separate pages (Who's going to be there / Prizes given away at the Expo  / Find your favorite businesses at the show ) on the WeddingGuideNM.com site. The Local Experts page is for Wedding Guide advertisers. Please check the links to make sure that they're all going to the right pages.

 

Announcing prizes during the Expo

If you've got a prize you'd like to give away, let us know on Sunday a.m. Please write it down and put your name on the paper too and we'll announce it after the fashion shows. If you'd like us to do some kind of game to win it, we'll be happy to do that - or we can just pick names out of any container you've collected names. Now, we'd like the recipient to have to come to your place of business to pick it up so you've got a chance to sell them once again.

 

What's the Color of the Booths?

This year, we're changing up the colors to make a more dramatic look in the new Hard Rock ballroom. We're going with cream and burgundy. To see those colors go to: css.com
